Ageless Aloha: Perfect Outfits for a Trip to Hawai‘i
With eight main islands, Hawai‘i is bursting with natural beauty, thriving commerce, and activities to explore. Whether relaxing poolside or surfside, keeping active, or checking out the local nightlife, there is plenty to do in Hawai‘i. Be sure you prepare adequately when it comes to planning your Hawai‘i vacation wardrobe!
Hawai‘i by day can be different from Hawai‘i by night, so be sure you think about what kind of activities you’ll be doing before planning Hawaiian outfits.
Below, we will explore some daytime and nighttime activities to provide outfit inspiration and ensure that you aren’t lacking in options when it comes time to enjoy yourself on vacation!
Daytime Delights: Casual Chic for Island Adventures
When considering what to pack for Hawai‘i, or what to pack for any vacation, for that matter, we recommend asking yourself these questions:
- How much can you fit in your suitcase(s)?
- What type of weather are you likely to encounter?
- What type of activities will you be doing?
You might find it necessary to bring a checked bag and a carry-on, especially if you are planning a several-week vacation to Hawai‘i and won’t have access to laundry services.
As for the weather, Hawai‘i’s average daytime summer (kau) temperature at sea level is around 85° Fahrenheit. Summer lasts approximately from May to October. Meanwhile, in the winter (ho‘oilo), which lasts from about November to April, it’s still a balmy 78° Fahrenheit. At night, expect temperatures of around 75° and 68°, on average for summer and winter, respectively.
Winter is Hawai‘i’s rainy season, so be sure to take that into account when outfit planning as well. With that out of the way, let’s get into some outfit ideas for different daytime vs. nighttime vacation activities in Hawai‘i!
